We went on a few short day trips around Dublin. The ancient sites and county Wicklow were a little too remote to reach through public transportation, so we went on bus tours for them. The tours ranged in price from €35–€40 per person. They were 6 or 7 hours on comfortable newer buses with time to stop for lunch and explore the historic places.
We rode the DART train to visit the seaside towns to the north and south of Dublin.
